International Course on Endovascular Neurosurgery ICENS-2022 held in Moscow

On May 19-20, 2022, Russian Endovascular Neuro Society (RENS) successfully concluded the 6th International Course on Endovascular Surgery ICENS-2022. The Conference was held at the premises of FCBRN, FMBA.

The most advanced minimally invasive approaches to management of AVMs, strokes, aneurysms, and other vascular diseases were discussed in the event. A special attention was focused on innovative neurointerventional techniques, the use of AI and respective research work. As always, the participants showed major interest in online broadcasts from operating rooms, where case studies were analyzed in real time and relevant conceptual issues were raised.

ICENS-2022 speakers were the leading experts from Russia, China, India, Brazil, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Canada, the United States, Turkey, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, and Israel.

the Conference included an award ceremony, where RENS honorary badges for contributions to the advancement of endovascular techniques of diagnostics and management of vascular disease patients and active participation in the Society’s work were awarded to Sergey Yakovlev, Doctor of Science, Head of the 4th Neurosurgery Unit at N.N Burdenko National Medical Research Center for Neurosurgery of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Vice-President of the Society and Kirill Yurievich Orlov, Director of RENS, Head of Research Center of Endovascular Neurosurgery (FCBRN, FMBA). Silver honorary badges were awarded to honorary executive members of the Society: Aleksandr Savello, Doctor of Science, Professor, Deputy Director of Department of Neurosurgery at the S.M Kirov Military Medical Academy and Mikhail Volodyukhin, Doctor of Science, Head of X-ray Surgery Department at the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center.

Mikhail Cherepanov, State Secretary, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council, Chairman of the IMBRICS+ Forum Organizational Committee attended as an honorary guest.
