President of Russia has visited the FMBA

On the 9th of November 2022, as a part of his visit to the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology dedicated to the 75th-anniversary of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, President Vladimir Putin got acquainted with the advanced technologies of endovascular neurosurgery used in the center. The presentation devoted to the latest endovascular diagnostic and surgical techniques was delivered by K.Yu. Orlov, Head of Scientific & Research Center of Endovascular Neurosurgery at the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology and Director of the Russian Endovascular Neuro Society (RENS).

The head of state could see the modern capabilities of endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular diseases such as implantation of a flow diverter to treat multiple giant aneurysms, and embolization of arteriovenous malformations.

In his report, Dr. Orlov pointed out that the FMBA and personally Veronica Scvortsova have been actively supporting the development of endovascular diagnostic and surgical technologies for treatment of different cerebrovascular pathologies to make them available even in the most distant parts of our country.
